L gave his room a quick glance-around before sitting in his usual unusual position at the computer screen that displayed his insignia. He logged in and rolled his eyes at what the police reporters were calling 'breaking updates' that he'd already discovered hours ago. It was his whole reason for being there. However, the man he'd seen just outside in the hallway- if it was a man; he had crawled quickly into another room, but his features had not quite been distinct- raised few suspicions. Beyond would not be so outright so soon into the game. L patiently tipped sugar cubes into his coffee.

B prepared himself. He dressed in a white long shirt and blue pants with no shoes (L's clothes) He crawled to L's door and in a voice identicle to L's he spoke. "May I come in?"

L moved to the door and opened it a crack. Outside he saw a boy identical to himself, almost. "What do you know?"

B smiled. "I know that he isn't in L.A. as you suspected, infact I believe he may be here in Tokyo. B walked into the room. "I also know he has contacts in Tokyo and L.A. and that he is looking for you, L." B smiled. L would be shocked to find someone knew his Identity.

"If I still thought he was in LA, I would be there," L said. "How do you know whoI am?" He prepared to disarm the stranger should he be carrying a gun. "And who are these contacts?"

"Dont worry i'm not carrying a gun L. Your caught off gaurd and tense. It's unlike you. I understand this case of escape has got you stressed out and worried but calm down. I promise it will be fine. I cannot reveal his contacts but I know you were planning on heading to L.A. tomorrow." B sat in his unusual L-like position.

L dumped more sugar into his coffee, until it was spilling over. He hated feeling like he was the one who didn't have all the information. "How do you know so much about me?"

B simply stared up at L. This time he opened his eyes and showed his red eyes. "Because my dear friend. I was taught about you." He had locked the door behind him from the outside when L wasn't looking and He had closed the curtains on the window. He laughed a short shinigami laugh. "I am B." He simply took a sip of sugarcoffee.

"Then you understand what happens now," L said, removing handcuffs from a drawer. "You are under arrest. You can come quietly, or we can see how well learning about my fighting style has prepared you to face it."

"Hold it L, your facing the only one who knows everything about you that you know nothing about and you really have tried to find out about me recently. Your going to arrest me? Come on L." B smirked and sipped his coffee. No hostility. L sat back down. "Alright B...Let's talk."

B smirked slightly. "I studied you for years, I guess thats what turned me into you." He drank the coffee. "Wammy's house could have had an effect too." He tilted his head and slanted his mouth. He then added twelve cups of sugar. He drank and smiled.

L relaxed his shoulders and drank his own coffee. "So you came from Wammy's house as well. Then it is no insult to my intelligence that you were able to find and confront me this way."

"Actually, im giving up the whole surpass you thing." He sipped his coffee. "I already am just as intelligent as you." He smiled and offered L a new jar of jam. (He is using L's smiley face >>)

L accepted the jam but did not eat it, out of habitual caution. "Thank you. But you do understand that you are a wanted criminal and it is my obligation, if not duty, to arrest you and take you back to the police. But you will invariably escape if it is your desire to. So, how is this resolved?"

"Easy...what better way to find criminals then to use an ex-criminal with the mind of a super-genius?" B smirked. "L think about it. Don't be an idiot. I'm the best trained to help you on your cases."

"That is true. I've been looking for a partner in my spare time, but none are good enough. I think your idea would be the best, for now," L said. He somewhat reluctantly extended his hand. "Part-ners?"

B smiled and shook L's hand. "Alright then." B called Minaru and told her where to go. "This is one of my contacts. Her boy friend may be the recent killer of the muggers in L.A."

"And how would you have come by that information?" L asked as he retracted his hand. He'd never felt more in the dark, or stupid, than he did then.

"Yes, a Nazi." B stared at L. "I couldnt believe it when I heard it." He smirked slightly. "So thats why I think he is the killer. Both men were apparently jewish."

"It certainly would fit. I assume the band is hidden?" L drank his coffee. "It almost brings me joy to get to throw a Nazi in jail. Almost."
