Well look at his jacket, bag, and tie that is around his head, ALL LIGHT'S and his smile is Kira's evil smile.

The tie is the clincher looks wise I think cause he sometimes didn't have that jacket or tie but he ALWAYS had on that freakin' tie! (except in the tennis match :B)

Yes but, the look of the shinigami would be based off of when Light first found the DN, because he has Light's bag from those episodes too.

Yup <3.... I don't care... he looks better in this form is all I like XD Haha! But he also (well maybe it was my eyes) He has lighto's floofy brown messy hair that sticks out at the sides and sways from where his goggles are. (I saw it when watching the clip)

I noticed that too, and he suddenly appears before ryuk RIGHT when Light dies.

And how Ryuk changes from addressing Light as well Light to You instead and then turns as he says "You." but the unnamed one is gone and he chuckles.

I know...I really wish DN could have abit more episodes...after the Kira Case Files timeline ends (After August's story) We need to bring Light back as a Shinigami agreed?

I'm tempted to put on my skeptic hat, but... eh, screw it. If it is Light's shinigami form, then it looks okay. I don't like the hair and the tie/headband.

That was pretty epic in Japanese, I have to say. Light deserves to be a Shinigami, though. He now can get what he always wanted, ne? xD

hmmm hard to say... I'm always a book purist and I know the anime added a bunch of superfluous stuff that often was pretty lame... I never watched many of the episodes... but that's an interesting addition.

Pretty much how I look at it. For example, everything involving Mikami became incredibly dumb, for lack of a better word. Can anyone say over-exaggerated DEATH WRITING!?

All the same, Light AND Mikami made some pretty weird faces in the manga, but from what I can remember.... neither of them.... *gestures awkwardly* flourished as much XD

Eh, that's what comes to mind. I love Mikami's faces in the manga. He just displays that true epitomy of madness, unlike Right-o over here.

the manga is the only thing that got my classmate on Deathnote at all. He's really academic so I told him he would like the mentality of Deathnote. When I gave him the first volume of the manga he suddenly remembered that he'd seen a few of the episodes and he thought it was demonic, and he didn't wanna read it at first XD

but a few weeks later, he practically ripped my head off when I kept forgetting to give him the 6th volume.

And now he's going to kill someone if one of us doesn't get the 8th one XD
